On Italian TV-talk show recently, a couple got up from the couch, went
behind it, and began to have sex. This made world news. Cyclops (Last
Emperor) at Medici Fountain, Luxembourg Gardens, Paris, has discovered the
young lovers. This instantly raises some questions about the
deixis-weakening aspects of two dimensional space, something else must be
addressed, something going on in three dimensions that cannot be expressed
or described, no matter how god tries, for even at the nuptive moment of the
couple, there is prejudice. The signs can get turned topsy-turvy, where a
666 looks like a 999.
"Lines of the universe are feminine, lines of the state, prostitutional."
(Fenellon, in ATP) Polyphemous thought that everything was accounted for,
the math seemed to work out perfectly, yet Polyphemous' choice was
intentional self-deception which works like juvenile hormone, yet does not
require a molecule.
Asceticism and levitation, that's something that India knew about.
"Brothers, do it for Mother India. Save your semen." There was one, however,
that looked at that and said, "Bullshit." In fact, sexual tantra did not
originate in India as most believe. It originated in the little country of
Assam, whose emperor at the time was Chinese. Flows of knowledge as to how
to have your cake and eat it too dispersed into China first.
One can look into the literature and see where the caste system had nothing
to do with the color of the skin, for at these sexual orgies of temples like
Karnak, melancholics and others less fortunate were excluded from the
activities, and even made sport of. Here, then, is where some organized
madnesses may be getting some of its ideas. To call it Minneapolis, Canada
is much closer to the truth.
Polyphemous' desire to actual place hands on the couple's buttocks and
assist in movement is a desire to be a 'part of' something...wherever two or
more are gathered. And that desire gets confused by an envy/jealousy
oscillation. Resentment, that Neolithic feeling had to have started
somewhere. Marriage as legalized prostitution is a variation on the
utility-expenditure urdoxa of Content and its Discontents. Some take this
path. Yet there were those nomads who sensed the rotting process within the
'normalcy' of the domestication of crops and animals, documentations, fees,
and cast themselves back out onto the steppes, not only an act of courage,
but of intelligence. One of the major reasons for GE crops is to engineer
vigor and life back into the food chain.
Forty years ago I listened to my uncle literally preaching from the tractor
about the shit going on in the Middle East. Not remembering it verbatim,
what residue remains from this is his usual invasive projections coupled to
attempts at instillling fear in my young ass. "Train up a tree in the way
that it should go, and when it gets older, it will not depart from it."(II
Horatio 3:16) Utility-expenditure urdoxa fucked: the reward of handling
chemical pesticides and fertilizers over the years was Parkinson's from a
wheelchair. Rather, it was the hoeing of 14 acres of weed-infested tomatoes
so that the monocrop(molar identity) would look better. There was no attempt
to see the value of a weed's evolutionary time in dealing with invasions.
The prophylaxis that could have prevented Parkinson's may well have been
there all along.
On the world stage, there is a drive to keep the human immune system
prominent:
"A malaria vaccine remains the 'holy grail' of the malaria research
community, and the Gates injection of $50 million has been particularly
welcomed by a field in which most of the pharmaceutical companies have few
plans to invest because of the poor prospects for economic returns."

So, here are three diseases the average person would think that
pharmaceutical companies would be Jonesing for in the attempt to establish
themselves as conquerors, HIV-1 and HBV included.

One structure within the malarial parasite (and perhaps other
Apicocomplexans)is called The Tubovesicular Network. Because the parasite
does not have N-linked glycosylation, it uses instead, pipelines that
transport proteins. This structure looks like the streets radiating from the
center of an architect-designed city, but its function is important because
of D&G's interest in flows:
"The rapid kinetics of protein export suggest the presence of a minimal
secretory apparatus within the parasite. This is consistent with a lack of
post-translational protein modifications."

As for speeds and intensities, the promiscous bitch HIV-1 uses AC voltage
and comes out of it with a DC Plane of Consistency that has conquered the
human immune system through evolutionary time. In other words, it has a
coevolution whereby it uses either one of two choices for receptor
substrates, and can hypermutate in accordance with fluctuations of their
availability. A sobering question was raised when drugs were being
synthesized that simultaneously inhibited attachment to both receptors:
"Will it mutate its strategy to something other than these two receptors?"

This is about flows, crystalized proteins, prions, sclerotized brain tissue,
mad cow, etc. It also has to do with keeping those flows flowing, because
many the molecules I have recently reported on have an action not unlike
that of a class of compounds known as coumarins, blood-thinning compounds,
among these being aspirin and salycylic acid from willow(Salix). It can go
much more into detail for those who might think that Deleuzo-Guattarian
philosophy is out of style or finished., even at the nanomolar level.
In support of Pearson's Viroid Life, there are many viroids that do not
usurp the host, a long list of studies in tobacco may be a starting point.
There are even papers on the supression of one virus with the introduction
of another one, or two. I choose as examples that may be exceptions, HDV
because of its affinites to both plants and man:

I choose HDV because some of these are studies that come from Fox Chase
Cancer Center in Philadelphia, where HBV's discoverer and vaccine
developer)Blumberg worked for a time, before being appointed as Director of
NASA's Astrobiology Unit to study the water on Mars and the origins of life.
There is resonance here to apply D&G's philosphy to many areas. In
eliminating mediation, for instance:
"...showed that RNA which by itself cannot encode an active polymerase can
be packaged together with complemented polymerase protein into core
particles, where this RNA can then be reversed transcribed. What are the
consequences of an expression strategy that does not involve the formation
of a core-polymerase fusion protein intermediate?"

That tired feeling. Some want to know more about it. Plasma centers will
offer money for volunteers in a mononucleosis(the 'Kissing Disease') study.
Watch for their advertisements in the papers. Epstein-Barr and
Cytomegalovirus both have intimate connections to mono. It has to do with
ratios of CD4 and CD8 cells. Important new discoveries that place some
viruses in other classes:
"A recent study showed that the HCMV virion contains not only DNA, but also
fours species of mRNA, indicating that this virus is more complex than
previously believed."

Science is zeroing in on specific sites of disease, and the 3' end of HDV is
an example, where it folds to become circular virulence, for instance:

ERRATA: In a recent post, the ref for isodaucane and its likeness to wild
carrot constituents, should read "Antimalarial Activity of Renealmia
cincinnnata," Phytochemistry(1999)52:1095. This type of molecule stems from
the Isoprenoid biosynthetic pathway, and connects to an alternative machine
against the malarial parasite discovered indirectly by Arigoni et al in
Zurich.
