i'm not trying to play cop. i was objecting to the way that
disinterest in mails about palestine/querying there
relevance had become a witch-hunt. the idea that chris's
opinions amounted to some form of anti-semitism seemed to me
to be ridiculous. and sad. it produced sad affects.

i don't object to performance at all - only to bad
performance, which i would define (loosely) as that which
doesn't call things into question but only asserts/justifies
ready-made truths? that is, it is predictable and safe.

my idea was: less about palestine. less bad performance.
that's all. and the list functions fine - i'm not addressing
that issue.

i agree. what i don't see, though, is how bombarding the
list with palestine-related posts does this?
