I thought Deleuze's God was figured as a Lobster - the two pincers of
content and expression. Religion and other power structures (Nationalism
for eg.)operate by overcoding the means of expression by refraining the
content as repetition (inserting the code of power and transcendence/ the
law of the father etc... and the rules of doctrine) - but 'to express is to
sing the glory of god' (or something like that - ATP) - which I read as
suggesting the line of flight within the desire that is the materiality of
the event - the expressive refain of experienced difference; or the spirit
of the moment/expression.
if that makes sense.
