Without a doubt. The brain does not organize thoughts out of energy-matter,
but does something like the opposite. The body-brain is an assemblage point
of the incorporeal into energy-matter. The body and its brain are a
spatio-temporal energetic-material event actualized from the virtual or
incorporeal. Though perhaps Castaneda's description of the assemblage point
being outside the observable physical body behind the back on the "sphere
of luminosity" (body without organs) is a better model. It's amazing how
D&G arrived at so many ideas similar to the metaphysical esoteric
traditions of East and West (seemingly at least) without having had much
access to them. D&G conceive of philosophy and analysis as practices of
reaching the incorporeal similar to the practices of Zen, shamanaism,
sorcery, and psychedelics.
