As a link between Germany and England (not that one
was particularly implied) how about

Das Englischer Haus (forgive the spelling)

it's about the English archtecture/craft movement
that took place in the late 1800's. Banham credits
it as being one of the inspirations for the German
roots of modernism and the Deutcher Werkbunde.

A facsimile is available but I don't know where from
(Architecture Press in the UK???)
