white house

i'm searching for a bit of info
that some of the forum members
from a few months back may remember...

i'm doing my thesis on the white house...
i'm presenting it as a late entry to thomas jefferson's
competition announcement from march 14, 1792.
[similar concept to the late tribune tower comp. entries
from the early 80's]
i'm planning on basing my design around today's
needs[pressroom, computer rooms, ect.] and technology.
yet i'm obviously having a bit of
trouble fleshing out a program to start my thinking on.

any sources, [i have many, but i want to hear from all]
any ideas, comments of any sort would be apprecicated.
