Charles' attachment to traditional architectural styles probably is
a lament for a time long gone when tabloids and television didn't
reveal the seedier side of the monarchy. Charles tries to come
across as a populist but the type of architecture which he holds
dear to his heart is symbolic of a time when the social divisions
were clearly drawn and understood by all. He'd probably like to
restore society to that state (along with the architecture).

heaven forbid that we Canadians will ever have a King Charles. Republic,
here we come!
