I hardly DREAD art.
I like art very much.
I like buildings and landscapes, too.
Sometimes art and architecture even overlap when the practitioner is
extremely skilled. But they are two separate words for good reason.
For one thing, Art is a historical conclusion. Contemporary opinion about
what is or isn't art is flimsy and momentary. It takes several
generations before we can decide if something does indeed deserve the
frame of art.
What architects are hired to do is, except for the most naieve clients,
'simply' to solve problems. If they do it exceptionally well and inspire
us, they deserve all the accolades we can bestow. Short of that, they and
we should be happy that they did a good job and leave it at that.
But, bottom line, I will take a look at PAP's books. But I have never
thought of browsing books by publisher. Nice idea for marketing.
