to the extent to which i may have instigated a concern for the names on
this list, i would like to politely intervene in the following
forming-skirmish):

When your question is phrased in a less conclusory manner (e.g. 'why do
you think identity of members of a list is important?') it will deserve an
answer.

sp: David, i am glad you caught on to the concern to have access to the
names, however, my concerns are not finally, about identity and i think
rma might think that on the net, identity is not finally possible. I
petitioned Howard the list owner for the names and he said no. He may be
concerned about the property value of the list. (cyber-estate) and that
is understandable. I had two reasons: one to go after more "identities"
(whoever they might be) to pitch into the forum. The other was to invoke
this net-medium-forum to excercise the radical deomoctratization implicit
in having over 300 people interconnected equivically. The list might be a
complete mess if all voiced simultaneously, but what the hell, let's try
it anyway. And further, being a part of the one-way media has become very
frustrating for me. This list has the potential for a very rich
discussion that often times is covered over by proprietary concerns, ones
that i deeply desire to trangress.
to rma: wasn't david's concern TOO easy of a target? ;)
