Based on Price Charles' past proffered opinions on the aesthetics of
architecture. Is it really any surprise at all that the competition winner,
for the rebuilding of damaged areas of Windsor Castle, follows the dictates of
an extinct movement in architecture?
I'll admit that dealing with the problems of designing for and adding to a
building of such heritage value, is more complicated than my above dismissal.
Yet I still feel that more challenging and perhaps innovative entrants never
really had a chance.
