I'll agree that current cities are more comprehensible based on the given
factors (i.e. economics, etc.) but an objectively correct equation would
include less tangible, but nonetheless existing, "touchy-feely" criteria.
Likewise there are probably benefits from current design practices that we
do not comprehend and could possible lose to future changes. Is there any
alternative to our current perspective which would make at least some of these
more visible? It seems to me that basic observation is lacking in many
people (myself included). Is this caused by modern society?
