Jonathan,
Unions aren't the answer, especially as they're losing their power these
days. Besides, I've seen too many cases of costs rising and quality
decreasing in unionized settings. I'm not sure why, but job complacency
may be the culprit.

I agree, though, that we must like suffering. Who else would put up with
all the torture?
