_City of Bits_ by William J. Mitchell (The MIT Press, 1995)
The _City of Bits_ is a conventional book with an electronic
Doppelganger -- the graphically rich Web site, which contains the full text
of the book, has been enhanced with over 200 links. A sophisticated search
engine and a unique public forum environment, which invites on-going discourse
between readers and the author, offer browsers an imaginative and compelling
companion to the "analog" book.

The address is: http://www-mitpress.mit.edu

It's in the list-pretty facinating and sophisticated site. It should prompt
some reaction if not from the site, but the implication it alludes.
