Subject: Re: licensed professional architects?

I am a licensed professional architect in Georgia, having gone to school
at the UNiversity of Tennessee School of Architecture. Every state has
licensing procedures which entail a written exam and drawing/design
project. There must be, usually three (3) years experience in a
practicing architect's office in order to qualify. The other
qualification is a professional degree from an accredited school of
architecture. That, upon passing, will register you in the state in
which you took the exam. There is a group called the National Council of
Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) which bridges the gap state to
state by keeping registration information in Washington DC and working
with the states for reciprical regisitration. There is, of course, a fee
for each state, to registerand to maintain that (those) regsitrations.
It is an involved process, but worth it none the less.
Your orginal note is covered and I don't know how to get to it, being new
at the internet. Please let me know if your need anything else.
