John Massengale has read a recent review of a new book on architectural
education. The book is very critical of philosopher architects and blames
their flourishing (as it sadly seems) on currect practices in the academy.
Question...what is the name/author of the book and/or where was it reviewed?
John cannot remember...help him, please.
BTW, I remember talking to some arch-professors recently and their opinion
was that their students were like greyhounds at the gate and needed no
priming whatever to urge them on to intellectualizing and
abstractionizationing...so it would be interesting to know more about the
book that Massengale seeks (unknown title, unknown author, unknown
publisher, unknown reviewer, not sure of the exact date---thanks John!)
