DISSERTATION
Il palazzo e le case: un progetto per Sant' Ambrogio [A Project for
Saint Ambrose: the Palace and the Houses].
This work is composed of 25 A0 drawings and a 100 pages text, and is
divided into 4 main parts: an original reconstruction of the Roman
Imperial Palace of 3rd-4th Cent. A.D. in Milan based on graphic,
archeological, historical, and textual evidences; an original urban
analysis of the area of the Basilica of Saint Ambrose and its monuments
through the centuries; a study of the analogies between the elements of
the Roman Imperial Palace and the still present houses; a plan for the
completion of the block of the Basilica of Saint Ambrose. This work will
be published (see below).

ARCHITECTURAL EMPLOYMENT
1993-1995: I worked in the architectural firm of Arch. Giulio Barazzetta
& Arch. Massimo Sacchi (via G. Agnesi 10, 20100, Milan), on the projects
and drawings for:
1. A residential complex in the town of Garbagnate, outside Milan
(together with Prof. Luca Ortelli).
2. The restoration of a private villa in Scansano, outside Florence
(under construction).
3. A private villa in the town of Germignaga, in the suburbs of Milan.
4. A public swimming pool in Settimo Milanese, outside Milan (built).
5. The new building for facilities and dressing room of the Tennis Club
in Settimo Milanese, outside Milan (under construction).
Spring 1993: I designed the renovation of the flat of Dr. Anna
Lafranconi (Via Fatebenefratelli 32, Milan 20122).
Spring 1992: I designed the new office of the law firm Dragoni -
Magnocavallo, (Via Merlo 4, Milan 20122).
Winter 1991: I worked in the team of Prof. D. Vitale on a project for the
area of the monastery and Basilica of Saint Ambrose in Milan. The plan
was shown at the exhibition "Progetti per Milano", held at the University
"Polytechnic of Milan" (Spring 1992), and at the "Leonardo da Vinci
Science and Technology Museum", Milan (Spring 1995). The project has been
published (see below).
Summer 1990: I worked in the office of Prof. Aldo Rossi (Milan), drawing
the watercolours for the Canary Wharf plan, London.
1989-1990: I worked in the office of Arch. Gionata Rizzi, Milan, on:
1. Restoration of Palazzo Saporiti, Vigevano.
2. Restoration of the villa "Il Gioiello", Florence.
Winter 1989: I worked in the team of Arch. Luca Meda on the project for a
new Church in Milan, presented to the Architectural National Competition
promoted by the Vatican in 1989.
Spring 1988: I worked in the office of Arch. Michele De Lucchi, Milan.
OTHER EMPLOYMENT
May 1993 - May 1994: I completed my compulsory military service as a
paramedic in the ambulance service "Croce d'Oro", Milan. I was in charge
of one of the ambulances.
AWARDS
Spring 1992: 3rd prize, Architectural National Competition for the
completion of the Main Square of the mountain town of Ponte, outside
Milan. (together with 4 classmates).
