I'm not very knowledgeable about movies; I go once every few months at most.
But I have a question and I'm wondering if among the many designers in the
audience (without whom we would be _nothing_; nothing; mere insignificant
grains of sand) we have any movie buffs.

I'm looking for movies that illustrate the changing American landscape: the
built environment in particular.

I'm looking for a few movies that when viewed in sequence would vividly
show the change in the American landscape over the period fron 1900 to
1970---the transition from horses to cars, from railroads to airplanes.

There are probably hundreds that could form a "It's So Big We Can't See It"
film series on urban design.

Oh, one more request: the movie must stand alone as entertainment.
