The Prince of Wales's
Summer School in
Architecture and the Building Arts

9 July - 22 August 1996

Washington, District of Columbia
Richmond, Virginia

A six-week Summer School led by a range of distinguished
international architects, artists, historians,
urbanists,and craftspeople. The program introduces the
students to a variety of disciplines including traditional
language and craft, the elements of urban form, the
civilized landscaped, and building design and construction.
These disciplines are supplemented with lectures and
seminars on history and theory, painting and life drawing,
and community planning. The school will carry American
university credit. Applications are invited from practising
architects and those with a degree, or equivalent
experience in a related subject. Fourth or fifth year
architectural students are also invited to apply.

Full and partial scholarships are available.
