I spent 2 weeks in Sweden last summer and would think it a great place
to live/study architecture.
You could, I suppose, apply for a Fulbright scholarship. But I would
contact the architecture schools directly and see what they can offer.
Swedish universities are filled with 'foreign' students, so they must
have ways of attracting them. I believe the architecture schools are in
Gothenberg and Stockholm ...
