Patrick, are/were you then a professional and/or
journalistic photographer?
Are there many other (historical) places in the world you
photographed?
Is there anyplace where one can readily see your work?

I can still remember the first moment I entered St. Peter's
August 1977 in that the air was as if air-conditioned--the
temperature differential from outside to inside was quite
dramatic. The explanation was that all the massive masonry
of the basilica was still radiating inwardly all the
coldness it had absorbed during the cold months a half year
earlier.
