most of my knowledge of H and politics comes from a book by Young, a =
New Zealand academic which I was invited to review by Cambridge =
University Press. I have never examined the original sources, I am not =
a H expert in the sense that I have gone to source although I did work =
for a spell at Heidegger's former University, but I was not teaching =
philosophy at that time. Young's account is that H was initially =
sympathetic to the regime, made a famous speech when Kanzler at =
Albert-Ludwigs Universitat, Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Wurtemburg, =
Deutschland. After this he lost sympathy with the regime, his lectures =
bgean to be watched by the Gestapo. Go and read Young's book. =20
