If f.i. Japan or China would suddenly decide to dump vast amouts
of their USD on the market (and they can because they hold very
large reserves), the USD would crash, leading i.a. to sky rocketing
gas prices in the U.S. and major social unrest. This is one scenario
of what i mean when i say the U.S. has lost control of its currency.

Yes, but you're making my point. The decision was not legitimate,
because the issue wasn't brought to an Iraqi Court of Law. Bremer
rules by decree, and see what happened in An-Najaf yesterday and
today.

I was speaking metaphorically here. "The corn grows while the farmer
sleeps." is from the parables in the Gospel of Marcus, see Mc.4, 26-29.
