Howdy Kenneth,

[Legal disclaimer ? the following is simply my ?opinion? as a former WE&A customer and is solely intended for this private audience.]

Yes, it?s Werner that I?m talking about. I dreaded this inevitable message for many reasons. Including having been on their legal radar and the vast amount of negative publicity that he has received, for good reason I might add.

First of all, I emailed Professor Dreyfus some time ago and mentioned that I?d first heard of him through Werner. He said nothing to the effect that he didn?t want his name associated with Werner, In fact his occassional association is a matter of public record in Bay Area newspaper archives. Still I didn?t want to bring Werner?s name up given the huge amount of negativity.

Also, and of course, I didn?t want to have the extra baggage to contend with while investigating my interest but better to be up front even though I really hope I don?t get more ?certified? mail from this or that LLC because of it.

Much of what Ross writes is true, even though he doesn?t know what only deeper involvement would reveal.

I haven?t participated in any of Werner?s programs for over a decade. I stopped because it became apparent to me that his organization was operating out?ve an agenda that I saw as fundamentally incompatible with my experience and with what I saw in terms of possibility.

It?s cultish aspects; it?s incessant recruiting practices provoke and deserve the scorn they receive as I see it. Perhaps his vision of a ?World that works for everyone? drives his devotees beyond what is appropriate. Not to mention the superficial use of jargon in very inappropriate circumstance. But when you?ve got a couple of million graduates worldwide (by now - including those from all the incarnations) it?s not surprising that there are many that give it a bad name. They are everywhere. I?ve lost track of how many countries including Pakistan now. I found this fascinating account by a member of the Soviet Politburo. Yes, Werner even trained the Politburo and at about the time of the dissolution of the Soviet empire. Coincidence? ?dunno. (interesting that he can create the "effect" through a translator)

But fundamentally ---- I personally experienced what I can hardly describe in terms of what is possible, and yet saw the company as wanting to control what can?t be controlled. The oxymoronic attempt to control a ?freedom to be.?

Anyway, I starting making a lot of noise. It became obvious that I wanted to meet others like me, those that held that we had ?gone to school? and had now graduated. My academic University doesn?t hold a license on what I?ve learned and neither should they is how I saw it. And the internet made it possible for many like minded individuals to form independent communities under no one?s agenda. The best way that I can describe the way this seems to work, is that a critical mass of individuals that have been trained has to be in communication for the ?effect? that I described in my message to Malcolm to realize itself. Well, the company didn?t like what I was up to. Not in the least.

So where does that leave me in so far my investigation here is concerned? Well it?s hard to say. I certainly hope that I?m still welcome and explore and learn.

It isn?t a particular truth that I have discovered Kenneth. But it is exactly what I described yesterday. It isn?t a particular ideology nor is it a particular system of beliefs that I?m interested in. It isn?t a particular worldview but simply no-thing at all.

I?m very certain that there are many many of Werner?s devotees that are blind followers and worse, idiotic in their enthusiasm. It?s easy for my experience to be dismissed on that basis.

I will mention an interesting bit though. After doing a course with Werner, this Cardiologist turns to me as says: ?these bastards put LSD in the water.? ?as I say, for some, very unusual phenomena are disclosed. He even took a sample to be analyzed. Alas, nothing but water. Not that these experiences are important in themselves, but an indicator, at least to me that there is something very interesting going on.

I?ll take you up on the beers given the opportunity.

Bob
