You are right about the group.
Let me relate an incident of such a group
I came across in my ramblings in the Himalayas.
This group, including three foreigners, were in the process of
involution. Adepts among them had absolture control over matter.
Not matter. but anything conceivable. In their company, I  had 
developed
to a certain extent the ability to move matter remotely. They were 
not restricted by speech. Whenever they chose to converse, it was 
through
Sandhya Bhasha, a form of Sanskrit, suited only to their needs.
It was a closed system, but you could enter if you chose.
This return is bound to happen, if technologically determined.
For example, dowsers predicted Saddam's escape long before the 
war.
My concern is the new nature of relation developing between 
consciousness and matter. Our mechanisms formed and unformed will 
change. Please inform me if am writing crap.
