Hospital engineering institute to be set up
Chandigarh, July 16: THE Institute of Hospital Engineering (IHE),
Chandigarh, has resolved to set up an autonomous centre for Hospital
Engineering and Architecture as its educational wing.
The decision was taken at the 15th council meeting of the institute held
on Wednesday, informed the national president of the IHE, Dr J C Mehta.
The centre also proposes to run a Master’s diploma programme in medical
architecture, hospital engineering, environment and health planning.The
council also agreed to start a regional chapter in AIIMS, Delhi, and
SPA, Chennai, in addition to the already functioning one set up in
Dubai.The new office bearers of the IHE national council include Dr J C
Mehta as president, G J S Rosha and Ashok Shreedharas as vice-president,
P S Saini as secretary, R Bansal and R C Tuli as joint secretaries and I
C Verma as registrar.
