Young talent today is abundant but thoroughly underutilized. Ideas not expressed are often not realized. Designs not developed confine themselves to the boundaries of the drawing board. Keeping this sentiment in mind, A+D and Fourth Dimension have come together to provide that energized platform for students to explore their creativity in the conceptualization and creation of designer furniture.

"s t r o k e s" is an all-India furniture design competition strictly for college students of architecture, art, design and polytechnics. The philosophy behind "s t r o k e s" is to provide a forum for the young minds to exercise their creative potential and to be able to present it at the highest level. All designs would be based on a common theme, which will be provided by the organizers. The entries to the competition will be accepted from October 1, 2004 to December 31, 2004. The designs submitted by the competitors will be judged by eminent personalities from the industry.

Eligibility Criteria : The competition is strictly for students from colleges and polytechnics of architecture, art and design.

Entry Forms : All entries should be accompanied with entry forms available at "s t r o k e s" Award Secretariat or click here to downloaded the form. Contestants can be individuals or members of a team (maximum no. of members in a team being two); multiple entries can also be permitted.

Jury Verdict : Last week of January 2005.
