Gita, I don't want to fret about 'professional-space issues' as such (so
far as I can see, the Generation IV institutes abrogated function and
the field of the architect, they effectively surrendered the semiotic
determination of the profession to outsiders -- the NGO, dubiously
fundend think-tanks, amature hacks, even urban-turn-wallahs lately; and
so on...). So yes, a long dossier on the outcome of this abrogation can
be built, you have done this (and Slumming India can be bought in a
coffee shop, so let's assume people are listening). We have said a lot,
in 2004, about the conduct of individuals in Gen IV institutes, they
have been typed (XXX-Faculty, XXX-Cultures etc.) and I will publish the
findings later this year as one of the Architexturez Nomothetical cases
we have been writing.
So I just have a simple question, your texts are a bit disorienting:
Considering you know these individuals for a long time, and there is a
'relationship' of sorts, would you care to explain to a relative
outsider (such as me, who was never at the SPA, and others, who never
were in Delhi) where this all, in your opinion, comes from?
Care to explain this step-by-step?
