PHOENIX The troubled Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture is facing
an inquiry by the state board that licenses private colleges.
The inquiry could put the Scottsdale school's license on the line.
The school is currently accredited. But in June, the Higher Learning
Commission _ a national accrediting board _ placed it "on notice," which
could lead to loss of accreditation.
Now the Arizona State Board of Private Postsecondary Education says it's
also looking into the school's problems, specifically accreditation and
finances.
Records of the probe will not be made public until a determination is
made by the board.
Victor Sidy, the school's dean, denies that it has financial problems
and says it's just starting to rebound, with 14 students now enrolled.
