MORGAN Phalen, lead singer of Diamond Nights, left a 9-to-5 job at an
architect's office to focus full time on rock.
So Phalen, unlike many jaded musicians, appreciates every sleepless
moment on the road.
"I definitely have something to run away from," he says referring to his
old job. "You have to run away from something to chase something."
Phalen, 31, and bandmate Tim Traynor were high school pals in Rockport,
Mass., where Phalen and his mom had moved from Mexico City.
