Crisil gets started on CDP

Pune, December 26: The Pune Municipal Corporation-appointed Crisil
infrastructure advisory gave its first presentation to the civic
administration and a select group of citizens on Monday to discuss the
City Development Plan (CDP) and the approach to be followed to avail
funds from the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM)
for the city’s upgradation.

The Crisil team will execute the work plan in 12 weeks. It would hold
workshops with civic authorities, consult stake holders, conduct a
citizens’ survey. All this is aimed at understanding the city’s
strengths and potentials on the basis of which a vision and mission
statement will be drafted. Stakeholders’ suggestions and views regarding
development in different sectors would be taken into consideration.
In fact, Crisil officials said it is the first time that the
stakeholders will be involved in the CDP. The Crisil team has already
begun holding meetings with the civic officials.
