Architects eye IT boom
Eastern India is on a upsurge, mainly in information and technology (IT)
sector, but it is yet to benefit architects and interior decorators
based in this part of the country.
"Several companies are setting up their shops in this part of the
country, but most of the architectural works of the buildings are done
by people, not from eastern India, despite of no dearth of talented
people to do the works and allied activities," said Ajit Kumar Jain,
president, Association of Architects, Builders, Interior Designers and
Allied business (ABID) while inaugurating the annual exhibition
'Interiors 2006'.
One of the major objective of the exhibition was to showcase the
availability of talent, he noted.
