New London Architecture call for entries for Biennale Awards 2006
LONDON, ENGLAND--(CCNMatthews - May 08, 2006) - New London Architecture
announces a call for entries for the London Architecture Biennale's
Biennale Awards 2006 sponsored by Pipers and the Evening Standard Homes
& Property. Architects and the public can nominate projects for the Best
New Building by 17th May 2006 via the New London Architecture website
www.newlondonarchitecture.org . Nominations are also sought via the
website for the London Hero Award.
The Best New Building Award: nominations are sought for buildings of any
size or type completed in London since June 2004. The winner will be
selected through online voting.
The London Hero Award has been created to recognise the individual who
has done the most in the past year to improve the quality of the
environment in the capital. All nominations are welcome, from
politicians to celebrities, activists to general enthusiasts. A winner
will be selected by the London Architecture Biennale committee.
The public will be able to view projects, nominate heros and vote for
their favourite building at www.newlondonarchitecture.org . Online
voting for the Best New Building opens on the 20 May 2006.
The Biennale Awards 2006 winners will be announced by sponsors Nick
McKeogh, Director, Pipers and Philippa Stockley, Deputy Editor, Evening
Standard Homes & Property at 4pm on Saturday 17th June 2006 at St
Bartholomew's Fair, a main event of the first weekend of the London
Architecture Biennale.

New London Architecture at the Building Centre is a permanent, public
exhibition space where you can find out what is happening in London in

exhibitions, events, talks and lectures that are organised to encourage

The London Architecture Biennale is a major ten day celebration of
diverse creative talent in London and looks at how that talent can be

route from King's Cross to Southwark from 16-25 June 2006.
