Architecture's High-Rollers Head to Vegas
Daniel Libeskind and David Rockwell are the latest name-brand architects to sign on to MGM's Project CityCenter
MGM Mirage recently announced that Studio Daniel Libeskind, Murphy/Jahn Architects, and Rockwell Group are designing components of its 76-acre development along the Las Vegas Strip. "Project CityCenter" is an 18 million-square-foot complex of hotels, casinos, and retail and residential space situated between the Monte Carlo and Bellagio resorts. Libeskind and Rockwell are working on retail, dining, and entertainment spaces that total 500,000 square feet; Murphy/Jahn is responsible for two glass residential towers comprising 810 units.
