I've noticed that people are starting to write about architects and buildings in New York media in the same way they've been writing in the past about chefs and food.

I think that makes a lot of sense. For better or worse, architecture has become part of the fashion world. And therefore, the creative thing that one architect does, is going to catch attention the same way that a chef's dish does. So I think that the attitude in looking for something cool and hip and new, maybe the writing style is borrowed from gastronomy, or maybe it's from fashion notes.

There's a group on Flickr called "architecture porn" and it is all people's pictures of buildings and parts of buildings.
I think it's a weird phrasing. But let's just say that if they wanted to put one of my buildings on there, I would send a thank-you note.

cont'd....
