When Felice Schulaner was studying economics at New College in the late
1970s, she spent free time driving through neighborhoods admiring
Sarasota school of architecture homes. The student vowed that someday
she'd own one.
She has kept that vow. Schulaner, who is the head of human resources at
Coach leather goods in New York, and her husband, Dennis Rees, bought a
1962 Siesta Key home designed by architect Edward J. "Tim" Seibert.
Schulaner then asked her brother Seth, a New York interior designer, to
bring the house into the 21st century with a breezy modern attidude in
home furnishings.
"We bought the house in October 2003 after looking at a lot of Sarasota
school of architecture residences," said Schulaner. "But, Dennis
actually found this on the Internet, and my brother Seth was with me
when we saw it. He walked into this house and told me to buy it."
