MARK COUSINS
1 Imagine that we asked Scottish neuroscientists to do FMRI scans of
brain activity during movie going, to see what parts of the brain light
up and why. Not only while watching a film, but going into a film and
waiting for the lights to go down.
...
2 Imagine, secondly, what this Scottish neuroscientist might say to an
architect who is designing cinemas. Imagine how they might work together.
...
3 Leaving that line of thought to one side, imagine a third proposition:
the inclusive idea that cinema is no longer something that is done to or
handed to us, by Hollywood or whoever.
