5.09.2006
The State Museum of Architecture in Moscow presents a personal
exhibition of architect Mikhail Belov that opened yesterday (on
September 4).
Mikhail Belov is one of those making up the face of Moscow. 'The classic
of Soviet paper architecture' and owner of over two dozens of awards he
left the USSR in the late 1980s to work in Austria first and then in
Japan and Germany. In 1996 the architect returned to Russia and became
very popular. Presently he is working on several projects at a time.
This is the first personal exposition of the modern Russian architect
since 1998. Belov's personal exhibition is called «50/30», Projects and
Constructions.
50 stands for the architect's age, while 30 means the years of work he
is featuring in the museum. Here one can see Belov's projects of the
1970-80s that make part of the golden fund of Soviet paper architecture
and brought him over 20 victories in international conceptual competitions.
The exhibition is on till October 4.
