CHANDIGARH: Authenticity of the city's master plan is in doubt as the
one with architect Le Corbusier's signature and approval is not traceable.
Chandigarh does not have a single signed master plan in its archives.
Either Corbusier did not post back the two copies sent to him at his
Paris address in 1952 for his signatures, or his signed copy is untraceable.
SK Sandhu, finance secretary-cum secretary urban planning, Chandigarh
administration, told TOI he could not comment as the matter pertained to
the time much before his tenure.
