The entire realty market is reeling under an acute shortage of skilled
technical manpower like building and landscape architects, utility
consultants, project management consultants and construction consultants.
"Earlier it used to take just days to finalise an architect and another
15 days for him to submit the designs. Now it takes at least four months
to rope one in. After that, we have to chase them to get our work
done,"complains Shah,who is also president of a prominent realtors'body
based out of Ahmedabad.
Venus group executive director Rajesh Vaswani has an equally painful
story to tell. "I gave a fantastic job to a local architect.
