Exhibition explores link between architecture, mankind
A new art exhibit called "KİTABESİ Dot" (INSCRIPTION Dot) by Canan
Dağdelen at Akbank Art Center Gallery considers the relationship between
mankind and architecture.
The exhibit opened on Feb. 21 and will continue until April 21. The
Austria-based Turkish artist is displaying works based on the
contemporary concepts of "Settled Order," "Modern Nomadic Life," and
"Mobility in Global Life."
Dağdelen tries to get her viewers to see connections between the past
and present by basing her concepts on written documents, language and
photographs. Hasan Bülent Kahraman is the curator of the exhibit, which
poetically emphasizes Dağdelen's sociological and archeological viewpoint.
The artist showcases this viewpoint using dots, which are used in the
digital world to mean a point, in her latest exhibition.
