Czech President against Kaplicky's library, challenges Olympics
By Prague Daily Monitor/ČTK / Published 4 May 2007
Prague, May 3 (CTK) -

Czech President Vaclav Klaus indicated today that he is against the construction of a new National Library building after the model of Czech-born British architect Jan Kaplicky in Prague-Letna and that he is sceptical about the plans to hold the Olympic Games in Prague.

Klaus, who visited Prague's ninth district today, said that he is ready to imitate opponents of the nuclear power plant in Temelin, south Bohemia, and prevent the construction of the National Library after the tender winning model with his own body.
