Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The Third International Congress on Underwater Archaeology (IKUWA3) is
to be held in London from 10-12 July 2008.
IKUWA3 explores the theme of challenges in underwater archaeology: how
underwater archaeology can be interlinked across boundaries, whether
real or imagined, institutional, environmental, political, legislative
or other.
Concurrent sessions will discuss:
[a] Research Trends and the Future
[b] Techniques and Scientific Methods
[c] Managing Underwater Cultural Heritage for the Public
A Call for Papers that fall within one of the above three themes is
available at WWW.IKUWA3.COM. Abstracts of no more than 250 to 500 words
are due no later than the 30th September 2007, and should be sent to:

IKUWA3 includes a three day practical field school, a three day
conference (with associated social events), and two days of fieldtrips,
together with a poster display, industry stands, and a bookshop. IKUWA3
coincides with the 2008 UK National Archaeology Week.
IKUWA3 is immediately after the Sixth WAC Congress (WAC 6), held at
University College Dublin between 29 June - 4 July 2008. Please go to
http://www.ucd.ie/wac-6/ for more information, and consider attending
both congresses!
