NEW DELHI: The Central Zone Deputy Commissioner of the Municipal
Corporation of Delhi and nodal officer of the Rs. 250-crore project
prepared for re-development of the historic Jama Masjid and its
surrounding areas here as an international tourist site informed the
Delhi High Court on Friday that a tender would be floated for the
purpose by June-end this year.
NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has given the Municipal Corporation of
Delhi (MCD) two weeks time to complete the masterplan for Jama Masjid's
beautification and submit it before the Delhi Urban Arts Commission for
it's approval.
As part of it's monitoring of the entire beautification process, a bench
headed by Justice A K Sikri directed the civic agency to speed up it's
efforts and stick to the December deadline fixed by HC last year.
