The Centre for Cultural Research and the Urban Research Centre invite
you to LIQUID CITIES: BERLIN AND SYDNEY IN CONVERSATION.
This international symposium brings Sydney and Berlin into conversation
around the difficult question of how to build charm, creativity and wit
into a city while managing economic competitiveness, quality of life and
environmental challenges.
Cities have a tough gig. When a city becomes a globalised space of
competition and consumption, can an adventurous, inclusive and
affordable culture still exist? Can the bland be held at bay?
What makes a great City?
