Make Architects has unveiled its latest designs for a set of crystalline
towers making up part of the vast regeneration of Croydon, south London.
The four-year-old London-based firm is working to Will Alsop's 2020
Vision masterplan for the area, and is about to submit a planning
application for the four towers, called Cherry Orchard, which will
provide more than 150,000m2 of mixed-use space.
Backed by developer Menta, Make will deliver a 46-storey residential
tower which will make up part of the 1,300 new homes planned for the
site. Also part of the scheme is an office building, as well as
extensive open spaces, cafes and shops.
Menta head Craig Marks said: 'I am delighted to be part of Croydon's
renaissance as it adapts to the needs and aspirations of its residents
for the 21st century.
