CHANDIGARH: UT Home Secretary, Krishna Mohan Wednesday said that
Chandigarh dminsitration would set up Museum of Knowledge (MoK)n the
Capital Complex as per the original design of the Governor's Palace
building, at the same location as planned by Le Corbusier.
“The City Beautiful functions more as a tricity now comprising
Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali. In the coming years, the exponential
growth of Chandigarh will not be in isolation of the three settlements.
So we propose to shift the material, which is at present displayed in
the Chandigarh History Museum at Sector 10, Government Museum & Art
Gallery complex, to the MoK building in the Capitol Complex,” said UT
Home Secretary Krishna Mohan.
The function of the MoK will be to display all the existing as well as
proposed materials, memoirs, documents, and drawings pertaining to the
inception, growth and future development of Chandigarh in relation to
the tricity region in an interactive and visitor-friendly manner.
