DMRC officials felt that rainwater harvesting would also help preserve the water table around the corporation’s properties.

Due to its environmental initiatives, DMRC received ISO 14001 EMS (Environmental Management System) and OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) 18001 certification last year.

Metro has achieved targets like prevention of air pollution, excessive noise and vibration at construction sites, minimised waste generation, good waste management, efficient traffic management and extensive use of fly ash.

yesterday Dainik Jagran reported a Contractor's Death at Metro Site due to electrocution and another construction worker death last week. A case of negligence has been registered.
