For disaster days, five sanctuaries
As part of pilot project, 5 buildings in city identified as nodes for
providing shelter and coordinating relief in case of a calamity.

In a plan submitted to the Urban Development Ministry recently, the DDMA has
identified Ludlow Castle School near Civil Lines, Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital,
the Police Headquarters, the Divisional Commissioner's Office and the New
Secretariat as lifeline buildings. The buildings will be retrofitted with
technical help from non-profit organisation Geo Hazards International and
USAID
