Reconstruction of demolished buildings must be
allowed: BJP
New Delhi, June. 17 (PTI): The BJP today asked the
Centre to allow reconstruction of buildings, that were
pulled down as part of MCD's court-ordered drive
against illegal constructions in the capital, during
the one-year moratorium on demolitions and sealings.
In a statement, Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan termed
as breach of privilege of the Union Cabinet Municipal
Commissioner A K Nigam telling the MCD Standing
Committee that the new law providing for the
moratorium did not allow for reconstruction of
demolished buildings...
