Channels planned to revive dead Yamuna

Rajesh Kumar | New Delhi

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has once again
prepared a draft report for cleaning river Yamuna on
the lines of Thames in London and Seine in Paris.

... The draft report is likely to be discussed in the
authority's meet on June 28 at Raj Niwas.

...The zonal development plan of Yamuna is primarily a
policy document and is based on various studies
conducted by different agencies.

| ie Authority meeting is likely to approve
| issuing Public Notice for O-Zone Plan
| (or, rather, the Thames & Seine plan
| Del Govt, MCD & MOUD have been pushing).

| btw, my RTI about the January pushing
| came up for hearing in CIC, also on 26.6.06.
| Delhi Govt chaps have been given two weeks
| to tell why penalties should not be imposed.
